Illuminare
Formerly the Newcomers, the Illuminare have departed the Camarilla to establish themselves as an independent faction, but they welcome Kindred of any clan and stripe to join them in their pursuit of the truth of the vampiric condition. Professor Victor Goga has espoused a vision for the group as that of academics and questers for occult knowledge, divorced from the politics of the city. Members gather at Cutter’s Number Cafe to study, test theories, and help one another advance whatever path to enlightenment they pursue.
Under Goga’s guidance, the Illuminare have claimed and maintained control over modern academic, medical, and scientific institutions and have sway over various occult communities in Seattle.

Viktor Goga

Also affectionately known as the “Professor,” Viktor Goga leads the Illuminare faction with vision and a charismatic zeal. He took advantage of a political moment to separate his faction from the Camarilla, however, so despite his sometimes ‘absent minded professor’ aura, this is a man who is both incisive and daring.

A Tremere representative of the Iluminare, Elif is Goga’s right hand woman. Practical where he is prone to flights of intellectual fancy, she is both brains and beauty in one package; underestimate or objectify her at your own risk.

Charming, sophisticated, highly educated, and tireless in her pursuit of the preservation of knowledge, Mirlande of the Salubri is a librarian’s librarian; she balances leadership and organizational skills smoothly, passionate about her work while never losing sight of the bigger picture.

Security Chief

David is a level head Banu Haqim, this makes him excellent at his role of overseeing Illuminare security. Knack for wards and blessed weapons aids in his job. Often seen at Cutters or securing the perimeter around any Illuminare event.
Dion Morris

Once a small time punk rocker turned Tremere. He is intelligent, sly, and vindictive. He researches the occult in Cutter’s Numbers as well as further Illuminare agenda from time to time.
Morgan

In addition to their work for the Illuminare, Morgan runs a small metaphysical bookstore called the As You Like It. A specialist in wards and warding circles of all kinds, Morgan is also an avid collector of rare books and ephemera, and would love to get their hands on any relics of their former Chantry.

Don’t let her steely stare and permanently judgmental expression fool you: if you damage the books in the Cutter’s Number Library, Clara will indeed try to eat you whole. The Malkavian is a fierce protector of the materials in her charge and hard to convince of any sort of good intentions; but a more competent curator and custodian cannot be asked for.

Very exact, very orderly, and has a massive memory. This Brujah cheekily claims to be a “Philosopher-Queen.” Gail is an excellent archivist and takes her role seriously to keep help keep the library in order. While her red eyes may scare some, she is actually quite approachable.
