Learning Blood Sorcery

Tremere rituals that specify it’s a potion follow the same rules as thin-bloods when it comes to storage, however don’t abuse this. There’s a specific Descendent loresheet that allows for more ritual preparedness. Only one Blood Sorcery Ritual or Level may be worked towards or learned per week.

Mawla Requirements:

When learning Blood Sorcery discipline powers, your character must have a mawla with access to and at least the same Blood Sorcery level as they are trying to teach, although that mawla does not have to know the power that your character is trying to learn.

With a player character is acting as the mawla, you take their Blood Sorcery level into account. For an SPC mawla it is as follows:

1 Dot Mawla – Equivalent to Blood Sorcery 2

2 Dot Mawla – Equivalent to Blood Sorcery 4

3 Dot Mawla – Equivalent to Blood Sorcery 5

Learning Time & Process:

Learning Blood Sorcery Discipline dots requires the same amount of time as the equivalent ritual, as shown below:

Level 1: 2 IRL days

Level 2: 2 IRL weeks

Level 3: 3 IRL weeks

Level 4: 1 IRL month

Level 5: 1.5 IRL months

The training process will require direct teaching from the mawla, either in person or some other method of live contact such as the ritual Communicate with Kindred Sire.

Grimoires, notes, or any other form of recorded training may not be used for Discipline training, only for learning rituals.

Each training roll will be at a difficulty determined by the player and mawla Blood Sorcery levels. Refer to the chart for difficulty, please note that lower dot mawali cannot teach Blood Sorcery 5.

The rolls for learning the disciplines are as follows :

Levels 1-3 may use either Intelligence+Occult, Intelligence+Blood Sorcery Level or the Power’s Pool.
