The server occasionally will declare what we refer to as a “Wholesome or Die” week, also called a WoD week for short. WoD weeks are accompanied by a social event put on by the in-game Factions in order to allow roleplay to continue; however, the intention of the WoD week itself is to allow the Storytellers to take a break from the daily work of running and overseeing the server. Our server never pauses play or utilizes timeskips; instead, we use WoD weeks to create breaks for our staff to relax.
The rules of WoD weeks are as follows:
- For new players without characters yet approved: Mechanics/lore questions, concept advice, or sheet approval/ checking will still be handled; however, responses are very likely to be delayed depending on staff availability to do so.
- For players with existing characters:
- We do not allow sheet updates; this includes attempts to locking in Resonance for discipline leveling by opening a ticket before slaking in the new week. Do not even open a ticket for updates during this week.
- We do not look at new characters.
- We do not look at asks, nor handle any outcomes if they are avoidable. Ongoing scenes otherwise required to be consecutive (like Dyscrasia tapping) are considered “on-hold” for the week and will not be impacted; if you are concerned about an ask being voided by a WoD week occurring please feel free to ask.
- Faction and Clan Projects are paused.
- We ask that you limit the amount of rolling you do in general for all scenes (other than the pre-set rolls at the events) and that you put any ST-guidance story arcs temporarily on hold (including any extended tests) to minimize the work STs must do in handing out consequences. We also ask that scenes that are disruptive to the events, by which we mean any scenes that require ST guidance or oversight, should wait for the following week.
- Fights and PvP will not be watched over during the week and should not occur.
